Cadetship

Updated: Feb 15, 2023

This is me, from over the years.

A cadetship is a program, typically sponsored by a government or business, designed to provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience and knowledge in a particular field. The program usually combines academic study with on-the-job training and mentoring. The journey of a cadetship usually begins with an application process, which can include submitting a personal statement, academic transcripts, and a resume. Depending on the program, there may also be an interview or other assessment. Once an application is accepted, the cadet will typically begin an academic program, such as a university degree, or a specialized vocational training course. During this time, the cadet will gain knowledge and skills for him to become a public safety officer. At the same time, the cadet will also begin a practical training program. This will involve working in the field and learning on the job, often under the guidance of a mentor. The cadet may also be required to complete a project or other task. At the conclusion of the program, the cadet will have gained valuable theoretical and practical knowledge. They will also have developed a network of contacts and experienced professionals in their field. This is invaluable for any future career in the chosen field.

Plebehood- I had no idea what I was doing throughout this time; all I could do was follow till I understood.

Incorporation Rites- First time i saw my family after 55 days of breaking period (everyone was crying but i kept holding on to my tears.

Recognition Rites- The day that plebes look forward to the most is when the upperclass corps shakes their hands. On this day, there will be no bridge, exaggerated movements or 10 counts because we have already joined the upperclass corps.

3rd Class- The phase, which I would describe as challenging, was managing both your own supervision of the upperclassmen and the plebes at the same time.

2nd class- I'm also the squad leader, in charge of the plebes and the third-classmen, who are one step closer to becoming the ruling class and this phase of cadetship requires great academic efficiency.

Immaculate or the First Class- Being promoted to first class is the moment that every cadet looks forward to the most since it comes with more responsibilities as we are now in charge of both our own company and the entire cadet corps. Although I initially believed it to be soothing, it was quite the opposite.
