RECOGNIZED CADET

Silang, Cavite – The Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) will hold its Recognition Rites for the Bachelor of Science in Public Safety (BSPS) Class of 2023 today, March 7, 2020.
Philippine National Police Deputy Chief for Administration, PLTGEN CAMILO PANCRATIUS CASCOLAN will take post as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on behalf of the Chief, PNP, PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO FERANIL GAMBOA.
Recognition Rites is a remarkable event in the life of a cadet which the upper-class corps (from the fourth year to second year cadets) will offer their handshake to the lowest mammal in the Cadet Corps or the so-called plebes that symbolizes acknowledgment to the most junior of the corps who have proven their worth in the 9-month plebe hood days enduring grim struggles, sacrifices and hardships.
Handshake of Recognition signifies that the fourth Class cadets are now ready to hold higher responsibility and accountability as some of their curtailed privileges will be lifted and will be given a permanent at ease status.
Before their acceptance, the processing for Class 2023 began with 14, 734 hopeful young men and women who took the examination of which only 1,330 applicants passed the PNPA Cadet Admission Test all over the country.
After the highly competitive mental, physical, medical examination, 284 fortunate men and women were admitted to comprise the MASIDTALAK Class of 2023, but only 206 males and 37 female totaling a number of 243 cadets remained steadfast and courageous to continue their journey in the academy.
Class MASIDTALAK, which stands for “MAasahang tagapagSIlbi ng inang bayan na may Dangal at TAlino na ang LAyunin ay Kapayapaan”, formally took their oath and joined the PNPA Cadetship Program during their reception as plebes last May 2019.
